Executives Learn How to Keep Their Companies Secure at Impact Optimize2018

Lake Forest, IL (July 2, 2018) — Impact, a leader in the business process automation space and managed service provider, was proud to host the first-ever Impact Optimize2018 IT and Business Security Summit on June 28 at Impact Field. The summit hosted over 85 executives from a variety of verticals and provided them with actionable steps to enable the betterment of information, network and cybersecurity.

Impact hosted the summit to bring together experts in the industry who were able to provide insights and actions needed in today’s business technology landscape. The summit featured industry speakers in the morning and breakout sessions in the afternoon with some of the top security experts speaking on a wide range of IT and business topics that affect small to mid-size businesses.

During the morning sessions, speakers included IronNet Cybersecurity President of Operations and Training, Major General (Ret.) Brett Williams; Datto disaster recovery expert Eric Torres; DocuWare Group President Thomas Schneck; Impact Vice President Managed IT Services Patrick Layton; and Impact Chief Technology Officer Frank DeGeorge. Each speaker spoke about the unique aspects of cybersecurity that growing businesses face.

The breakout session topics included “Security as a Service,” “Securing Your Robotic Process Automation Platform,” and more. In the afternoon, the technology hall was set up for attendees to meet and speak with vendors from HP, Cisco Meraki, Kofax, ayfie, Datto, Nerdio, Cloud Jumper and more.
