At KYOCERA Document Solutions America, Monochrome MFPs Have Reached the Next Level

Fairfield, NJ (December 20, 2016) – KYOCERA Document Solutions America, one of the
world’s leading document solutions companies, today announced the introduction of the ECOSYS M2640idw Series, once again raising the bar for low-volume monochrome multifunctional printers (MFPs).

The ECOSYS M2640idw Series includes four models – M2640idw, M2540dw, M2040dn and
M2635dw – with black-and-white output up to 42-ppm, and a set of innovative features not previously available in the company’s offerings to small- and mid-size workgroups.

“More advanced features – especially on-the-go printing – that’s what our customers want,” said Douglas Cole, director of product marketing, Corporate Marketing Group for KYOCERA Document Solutions America. “This series delivers, at a price-point that makes sense.”

All models provide exceptional print resolution up to fine 1200 dpi, as well as color scanning capabilities. All 42-ppm models come standard with dual scan document processors. Like all Kyocera devices, the ECOSYS M2640idw Series offers world-class reliability, long-life consumables, and low total cost of ownership (TCO). For workgroups that require additional processing power, there is an upgradeable memory option.

The 42-ppm ECOSYS M2640idw comes standard with an intuitive 4.3-inch color touch-screen and is HyPAS-capable with the ability to run dozens of business applications, including a variety of “connector” apps, which allow seamless integration with many popular third-party document management systems (DMS) and content management systems (CMS). Additionally, the entire series is compatible with Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print™ and KYOCERA Mobile Print, with standard wireless and WiFi direct, adding to the comprehensive on-the-go printing capabilities.

The series supports KYOCERA Fleet Services (KFS) – a comprehensive cloud-based monitoring service that allows authorized dealers to handle many maintenance tasks for their customers without time-consuming on-site visits. Through KFS, dealers can anticipate issues and resolve them before they occur, and even update firmware remotely during off-hours, maximizing uptime across the entire fleet.

“Our low-volume multifunction printers have always been reliable, easy-to-use, and budget-friendly,” continued Cole, “Now that we’ve added mobile printing and other advanced features, they’ve reached a whole new level.”

Pricing and Availability
The ECOSYS M2640idw Series is available through authorized Kyocera dealers at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $1,567.00 for the ECOSYS M2640idw, $1,371.00 for the ECOSYS M2540dw, $1,181.00 for the ECOSYS M2040dn, and $816.00for the ECOSYS M2635dw.
