SYNNEX Corporation Strengthens IoT Portfolio with the Addition of CalAmp

Greenville, SC (September 30, 2016) – SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX), a leading Technology Solutions distributor, announced today that it has been selected as a master value-added distributor by CalAmp (NASDAQ: CAMP), a leading provider of wireless products, services and solutions. The agreement falls under SYNNEX’ MOBILITYSolv group and strengthens the distributor’s Internet of Things (IoT) portfolio by offering CalAmp’s cellular routers, private radios, gateway products, and device configuration and management tools. SYNNEX resellers have access to CalAmp’s newly enhanced line of Vanguard ruggedized cellular routers, which are enabled with smart vehicle technology and seamlessly integrate with CalAmp’s industry-leading telematics intelligence engine.

“CalAmp is a strategic addition to the SYNNEX portfolio that gives our resellers access to new market-leading wireless solutions to keep their end-users’ workforces connected, secure and productive in remote settings,” said Tim Acker, Vice President, Mobility and Connected Solutions, SYNNEX Corporation. “The agreement comes at a time when resellers are looking to their distributor to help them capitalize on the rapid explosion of IoT enablement in the IT channel, and we are excited to rise to meet their needs in this space across several key vertical markets by adding CalAmp.”

The recently enhanced line of CalAmp Vanguard products brings added capabilities, allowing end-users to continuously monitor their vehicles’ operating environment and respond instantly to threshold conditions such as motion, location, geo-zone crossings and custom parameters. Additionally, new telematics functionality enables Vanguard routers to provide access to engine diagnostic data to streamline maintenance, track vehicle location and speed, and monitor key driver behavior metrics like hard braking, cornering and acceleration.

“Our new agreement with SYNNEX gives us the opportunity to rapidly scale our business through a trusted distributor that brings expertise in helping deploy complete IoT solutions in the IT channel,” said Mike Zachan, Senior Vice President and General Manager, CalAmp Wireless Networks. “This agreement provides more resellers with greater access to market-leading industrial IoT solutions for transportation, energy, water and waste, local government and other regulated industries.”
