Cybersecurity Expert Mike Buratowski to Keynote at Navigate 2016 by Continuum

Boston, MA (August 31, 2016) – Continuum, the only channel-exclusive IT management platform company, confirmed Mike Buratowski, senior vice president of cybersecurity services at Fidelis Cybersecurity, as a keynote speaker at Navigate 2016. The company’s third annual user conference takes place on Wednesday, September 28 through Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. Mike is presenting “The Cybersecurity Opportunity – Helping Our Partners Protect Their Customers’ Most Sensitive Data.” He brings deep knowledge and experience from working on breach investigations involving the world’s leading companies. He will discuss how companies can build advanced threat defense security operations against APT attacks.

“Enterprises face an unfair fight as they confront advanced attacks from nation states and well-resourced adversaries that are determined to steal proprietary data and disrupt critical infrastructure,” said Mike “Organizations are looking for ways to detect and analyze threats faster, so they can remediate attacks more quickly and reduce the impact to their business.”

Mike manages a services team of highly experienced security experts at Fidelis Cybersecurity. Prior to joining Fidelis, he was the business area director for the Cyber Operations Solutions business and program manager for the US-CERT contract at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems. Mike served in various leadership roles at General Dynamics, including nearly 10 years on the Defense Computer Forensics Laboratory contract as an examiner in the Major Crimes & Safety section, a network intrusion examiner in the Intrusions & Information Assurance section, and the section chief of the Imaging & Extraction section.

Before his tenure with General Dynamics, Mike was a police officer with the Montgomery County, Maryland Police Department where he served as a detective in the Computer Crimes Unit. He holds a master’s degree in forensic studies of information systems from Stevenson University as well as a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Maryland.
