Blue Technologies celebrates 20 years of excellence

Cleveland, Ohio – July 7, 2015 –Blue Technologies staff celebrated the company’s 20th anniversary at its annual Commitment to Excellence event on July 1st at Blue’s corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. Throughout the day, 200 employees from all three Ohio locations rotated through learning stations hosted by key leaders within the company to gain further insight into the company’s ongoing growth and move-forward goals, as well as new developments in products and services.

Afterward, employees gathered outside under a large party tent where 48 associates were recognized with Commitment to Excellence Awards – given only to top performers as recognized by either clients or colleagues. A speech by President and Founder Paul Hanna looking back on 20 years’ worth of accomplishments followed, as well as a cookout-style dinner and prize raffle.

“Blue Technologies has provided office technology solutions for businesses backed by world class customer service since 1995, growing its competencies to keep up with the ever-changing technology landscape,” Hanna says. “However, what hasn’t changed since the beginning is our award-winning service pledge – the Commitment to Excellence. Looking back on the past 20 years, I’m proud of how we’ve been able to build upon that strong foundation.”

In addition to looking back, the event marked a key milestone that encouraged discussion of the future of the business. Beth Palamara, Blue Technologies director of communications, has been with the company for 19 years and says she is very enthusiastic about the growth plans in place.

“I love being with a nationally-recognized industry leader and a winning team,” Palamara says. “Looking out at that tent on Wednesday and seeing it full of people we’ve recruited and developed for many years, as well as those who are newer to the company, makes everything we do to keep moving forward worthwhile.”

And Paul Sems, general manager of Blue Technologies Smart Solutions (BTSS) – a wholly-owned subsidiary acquired in 2013 to expand upon Blue’s IT and Productivity Solutions – says that he is extremely pleased with all that has been accomplished already with Blue’s growth plans since he joined the company.

“I’ve only been with BTSS for one year, however I’ve already seen dramatic positive changes,” Sems says. “The teams are working better together and we are really seeing the cross-pollination have a positive impact on our clients.”

As both employees and clients alike look forward to what progress the next 20 years have in store for Blue, Hanna says his team will remain committed to the company’s core values.
