economic turmoil and abrupt changes in our industry brought
opportunities to companies with a strong foundation and a history
of fiscal responsibility. As such, 2009 was a year of great
opportunity for Nuworld and their thousands of customers.
Nuworld has not
only strengthened their solutions offerings to the dealer channel
by being appointed as a Panasonic Master Distributor; in
maintaining momentum and their commitment to providing
best-of-breed technology to their dealers, Nuworld is proud to
kick off 2010 by officially announcing their partnership with
Okidata to bring equipment, supplies, parts, and support to the
channel.
Through such
partnerships, Nuworld continues to establish its permanence and
stability in an industry marked with change during recent years.
But expansion is only part of the equation. Business is
accomplished through people working together through strong
relationships, and throughout 2009 Nuworld has sponsored numerous
workshops and seminars bridging the gap between the manufacturer
and dealer in their “Meet the Manufacturer” series. Through “Meet
the Manufacturer”, both the dealer and manufacturer benefit. Not
only are dealers given hands-on accessibility to new technology
and opportunities to meet with manufacturer representatives, but
the manufacturers themselves also receive valuable feedback from
dealers, which they take back to improve both their equipment and
programs.
Donald Lee,
Nuworld Vice President, explains, “I think the economic hardships

The story of
Nuworld Business Systems begins with Nuworld’s founder, president
and CEO, Young H. Lee. Mr. Lee and his wife, June, traveled from
Seoul, South Korea to New York in 1975. His new job was to develop
an import-export market for his South Korean employer. As he honed
his purchasing skills, the Lee family longed for a warmer climate.
New York’s loss was Southern California’s gain. Using the
knowledge and contacts he had gained during the past decade, Young
Lee decided to start his own company in 1983. “We began our new
business out of our garage in Cerritos, California. Having begun
as a family business, we have always regarded both our staff and
customers as an extension of our own family,” explains Mr. Lee.
Thirty five years later, Young, June and their eldest son, Donald,
are actively involved in the day-to-day operations of Nuworld.
Their core business philosophy has remained consistent - ‘Seize
Opportunity, Embrace Efficiency, and Provide Quality.’
Nuworld has negotiated Master Distributor Agreements, Quantity
Purchase Agreements, and Blanket Purchase Agreements with most of
the major OEMs. These significant volume discounts
enable Nuworld to
share their enormous buying power directly with their reselling
dealers. Many authorized OEM dealers buy directly from Nuworld
once their quarterly quotas are met. An authorized OEM dealer
explains, “We receive better pricing, same day shipping, with the
ability to call and talk with a knowledgeable person or order
online 24/7/365. Once I reach my quarterly quota, I freeze my
purchasing from the OEM, minimizing the increase of my future
quotas. I then start buying from Nuworld, often for less than the
OEM’s end column pricing. I often use blind drop shipping that
allows me to sell products I currently do not inventory. Nuworld
allows me to save money, minimize my quota increases and does the
shipping for us.”
In addition to their vast line of products and aggressive pricing,
Nuworld prioritizes support and continually focuses on improving
technical support for the full line of products they sell. Led by
their service manager Jorge Ochoa (jochoa@nuworldinc.com), Nuworld
has factory trained technicians who are ready to provide service
support. Also, in consideration of the networking issues that have
become commonplace in our industry, Nuworld has IT professionals
who have the ability to assist dealers by remotely connecting to
troubleshoot network print and scan issues. However, support is
not simply limited to just post-installation issues. If you
require any pre-sales support, don’t hesitate to call on Jorge as
he is always happy to assist dealers with more technically complex
opportunities.

Another area of support Nuworld prides itself on is the training
workshops and resources made available to the dealer community.
Ochoa explains, “Our dealers have the opportunity to attend
technical and sales training classes taught by the OEM’s
personnel. Nuworld’s factory certified trainers also provide
ongoing technical training. Both are offered in our
state-of-the-art training facility in Cerritos, California. Having
been a service manager of a successful independent dealership for
over six years, I understand the needs of the independent dealer.
It is often inconvenient to send your tech away to a week-long
school. We have been able to condense many classes to concentrate
on what needs to be learned to fix the equipment in the field— not
hours of theory, review or learning the marketing campaign of the
OEM. As such, I am especially proud of the most recent series of
Copystar and Sharp connectivity workshops we have developed, and
have received very positive feedback from the dealers who have
taken advantage of our workshops. Whether it is pre- or post-sales
support, the goal of Nuworld Technical Services is to help your
dealership grow your business!”
Nuworld’s onsite training facility provides both regularly
scheduled and reseller customized learning courses. CDIA+
Certified
Apurva Mehta is Nuworld’s Dealer Channel Sales
Coordinator. Apurva provides dealer support through pre-sales
assistance and new product training and is a sounding board for
dealer feedback. He organizes and coordinates local dealer
meetings, free Webinars and product launches. Nuworld customers
are encouraged to consult directly with Apurva Mehta at apurva@nuworld.com.
Nuworld also offers reseller dealers one-stop shopping by offering
leasing assistance, set up, delivery, installation, networking,
end-user training, warranty and service agreement availability.
Once the sale is made, Nuworld can handle the entire procedure.
Nuworld can even help you put together your sales package.
Nuworld’s support staff can help enable your dealership to break
through to the next level of sales and service by providing tiered
levels of technical and sales support.
To assist dealers with marketing their products, Nuworld’s
in-house graphics department enables their resellers to insert
their own dealership name and information on Nuworld advertising
templates. This can create unity in their selling support.
Pre-made flyer templates, website links and semi-customized
advertising materials can be provided to help dealers better
inform their customers.
