Marc Magistrali chosen 2009 Procurement Leader of the Year KONE Corporation
November 11, 2009 - KONE’s Senior Vice President of Sourcing, Marc Magistrali, has been named the 2009 Procurement Leader of the Year by Worldwide Business Research (WBR) at the ProcureCon event in Brussels last week. Marc was selected among a large pool of senior procurement and sourcing executives from Europe’s largest companies. The award recognizes him as the individual who most exemplifies procurement excellence, leadership and innovation.
“This award is evidence of the great work our sourcing and supplier quality team has done over the past few years,” says Marc Magistrali. “I would like to sincerely thank the team for their hard work, determination and resilience to deliver significant business results in our continuous pursuit of sourcing excellence.”
The judges were looking for strong evidence of innovation initiatives, programs and successes, value creation ideas, development and contribution to procurement effectiveness as well as contribution to team excellence and sustainable business excellence.
The advisory board and judges consisted of leading supply chain leaders including Ton Geurts from AkzoNobel, Giles Breault from Novartis and Gordon Crichton from the Institut du Management de l’Achat Industriel (MAI).
Prior recipients of the award include Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) from L’Oreal, and Borealis.
